The Crew on the Job
Gas work needs its own licence on top of plumbing, and Kedron Hot Water Services holds both, so a pilot or gas control valve stays with the same crew that swaps an element. One visit, one trade, no handballing.
How a Booking Runs
Ring or send the form, and we ask what the hot water is up to and where the unit sits.
Your hot water job is priced up front as a fixed quote, and no work begins until you've agreed to it. We work on flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees, and there's no extra charge for nights, weekends or public holidays. You can also fix now, pay later.
Once the system is tested at your taps, card or EFTPOS settles the bill.
The work splits into four kinds of call:
- Hot water repairs for a faulty part on a system with life left in it
- No hot water visits when the taps have gone cold without warning
- Hot water replacement for a tank or unit at the end of its days
- Hot water installation for a new build, a renovation or a reposition
Systems We Fit and Fix
We work across the full range, so the advice turns on what suits your place:
- Gas hot water, storage cylinders and continuous flow units running on mains gas or bottled LPG
- Electric hot water, including tanks heating overnight on an off-peak tariff
- Instant hot water, which heats water as it flows, so a household never runs out
- Heat pump hot water, which draws warmth from the air instead of running an element
- Solar hot water, roof collectors backed by a booster when the clouds roll in
We work on Rheem, Rinnai and Bosch gear, and we can talk you through the rebates going for heat pumps and rooftop solar. Many homes here sit under the council's pre-1947 character protections, so a replacement cylinder usually returns to its original spot rather than moving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Call (07) 3522 5629Who comes out to a hot water job in Kedron?
Our own plumbers come out to Kedron jobs in person, and the team holds the gasfitting licence, so a gas cylinder or continuous flow unit is handled by our plumbers.
Which systems do you handle on an Energex supply?
We repair and replace electric storage tanks on an Energex off-peak tariff, gas storage and continuous flow units, heat pumps and solar setups, matching the system to the household it serves.
Do you cover Chermside and the other nearby suburbs?
Yes, Chermside, Wavell Heights, Kalinga, Lutwyche and Gordon Park are all on the run, and a job in any of them gets the same plumbers and the same fixed quote treatment.
How does a quote work for a replacement here?
You get the full figure in writing before work starts on a replacement or repair here, and nothing begins until you have read it and agreed to the number first.
Does Urban Utilities water pressure change what you install?
It can, because weak flow from old galvanised lines or Urban Utilities mains pressure both get checked before we blame the heater, so you are not quoted for the wrong fault.
How do I book a hot water repair in Kedron?
Ring (07) 3522 5629 with the fault, the system type and where the unit is installed, then Kedron Hot Water Services locks in a day that suits, with same-day service where the schedule allows.
